Definition of High Ability

IC 20-36-1-3"High ability student"

Sec. 3. "High ability student" means a student who:

(1) performs at or shows the potential for performing at an outstanding level of accomplishment in at least one (1) domain when compared with other students of the same age, experience, or environment; and

(2) is characterized by exceptional gifts, talents, motivation, or interests.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Tri-Central Community Schools to empower and inspire students to excel in academics, service, leadership, and the affective domain. We believe these learners come from all cultural, economic, and racial groups.

Tri-Central provides high ability students with intentional, enhanced learning opportunities, which emphasize problem solving, critical thinking, inquiry, communication, and leadership. Students participate in appropriate, rigorous curriculum through enrichment, acceleration, and differentiation, thus empowering students to reach their highest level of potential.

Vision Statement

Tri-Central offers a continuum of PK-12 services in which students are challenged to pursue their maximum intellectual potential and become successful, contributing members of their community.
