If you have a student that attends a non-public school or is home-schooled and you believe he/she may qualify for special education services , you may have access to resources/services through Tri-Central Schools if you live in our district. Topics to discuss if we have a meeting:

State and federal guidelines regarding referral, evaluation, and case conferences for students who may be eligible for special education services.
Kokomo Area Special Education Cooperative’s current process for referral, evaluation and the provision of services to parentally placed students in private, parochial and home schools.
Any possible adjustments of the current process for referral, evaluation and provision of services.
State and federal funding guidelines which determine the minimum amount to be allocated for serving parentally placed students in private, parochial and home schools.
Information regarding how written feedback will be supplied to non-public school officials if those officials do not agree with how funds are expended.
Explanation of how ongoing consultation with private school administrators and parents of parentally placed private school students with disabilities may happen throughout the school year in order to facilitate meaningful participation in special education and related services.
