Friday is our PTO Goodies with Grands. We will open the doors at 6:45 am. Enter at door 13 or 17. When you are done eating we would ask that you leave the building due to the high numbers we are expecting. Students will report the gym when they are done eating. We need all students in their classrooms by 8 am so they can begin their school day. Thank you for your understanding!

Tri-Central Elementary PTO will be hosting Goodies with Grands on Friday, 9/22/23 beginning at 6:45 AM. This event will take place in the elementary cafeteria and entry will be at door 17 and door 13. When students are done eating we would ask that they leave the cafeteria and proceed to their classroom. We are expecting over 400 people so space will be limited. This event is for current elementary students only. Thank you. Mr. Miller, Principal

We still have several students who were qualified last school year for free or reduced meal benefits who do not have a current application for the current school year. Today is the last day of the 30 day carryover grace period. If you have not yet completed an application for free or reduced meals, please do so before Monday. You can complete the application through your Skyward parent portal or you can email twyant@tccs.k12.in.us to have an application emailed or mailed to you. Please be aware, students without a current application approved by Monday will go to full pay status on Monday. Any charges to your student's account between Monday and the time a new application is received, processed and approved will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian as benefits are not retroactive.

Tri-Central Community Schools School Bus Policy Tri-Central Community Schools always strives for student safety. We have recently seen an increase in the number of parents requesting bus changes, primarily at the end of the school day. The following will be the policy for granting a bus change: 1) To request a different bus, a parent must submit a signed request (note) to the appropriate school office. Students may only ride a different bus due to childcare issues or a severe family emergency. The appropriate administrator/transportation director will then sign off on the note indicating to the bus driver that the student is to ride on their bus. Administration will make the final determination for emergency situations. 2) During the registration process parents and guardians are given the opportunity to select their transportation choice. Parents may choose a daycare location or alternate pickup/drop-off location. 3) TCCS cannot have students changing buses from those that are designated as their assigned bus. 4) The school and students work best when there is a regular routine for AM/PM transportation. By establishing these policies, we will: a. Know where the child is supposed to be. b. Reduced confusion with the student, bus driver, school, and teachers. c. Teachers know assigned bus at the end of the school day. d. Reduction of phone calls to the school for “lost children” due to changes in end of the day arrangements. 5) Drivers have a master list of all students that are assigned to their bus. If we continue to allow daily changes this will create a huge safety issue in the event there would be a bus crash.
