Tri-Central Middle/High School was represented well at Kokomo High School this weekend. 42 different students from the band program grades 6-12 performed solo or ensemble music which was rehearsed mostly independently outside of school hours.
Out of 18 solo performances, 16 earned a gold rating and 2 earned silver. Out of 7 ensemble performances, 6 earned a gold rating and 1 earned silver.
Additionally, 5 high school students earned a gold rating in the most competitive division, qualifying them for a performance at State on February 28th.

This coming Sunday, Feb. 15, the band program is putting on a performance for the community which will feature some of these performances for the community at Sharpsville United Methodist at 2:00. Please take a look at the band’s Facebook page for more details.
Lastly, the band program also wants to thank Naomi Sluka, who accompanied 9 different students for their performances.

Reminder: The Tipton Boys and Girls Club is closed on Monday, February 9. The TC club will be open.
