TCE Parents/Guardians,
Here are a few dates and reminders as the school year comes to a close:
i-Pad Return: i-Pad, Apple original charging block and cord need to be turned into the school on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Students will be participating in a fun bounce house activity on Monday, May 18. On Tuesday, May 19, students will participate in field day activities. They are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing including tennis shoes both days.
Yearbooks: if you missed ordering a 2025-26 Elementary Yearbook, we do have a few extra copies. They are available at a cost of $25 while supplies last.
Lost & Found Items: We have several jackets, coats, hats, gloves, lunchboxes and water bottles. If your child has lost an item, please have them check for any lost items. Parents are welcome to come by the school to look for lost items before school is out for the summer. We are not able to keep any items left at school after the end of the school year.
Moving: If you are planning to move out of our district over the summer, please notify the office, or email Mr. Miller at mmiller@tccs.k12.in.us. If you know of a family interested in attending Tri-Central, please have them e-mail Mr. Miller.
Early Dismissal: Final two days of school (Monday and Tuesday, May 18 and 19) dismissal will be at 2:30 PM.
TCE office closed: If you need to reach someone over the summer, please email Mr. Miller at mmiller@tccs.k12.in.us. The elementary office will be closed over the summer. If needed, you may contact the Superintendent’s Office.

Tri-Central Elementary 3rd grader, Tucker Kaufman scored in the top 2 percent of third-grade students statewide on recent ILEARN assessments, earning him an invitation to apply for the National Math Stars program.
The program identifies top-performing students through a partnership between the Indiana Department of Education and National Math Stars, a nonprofit organization.
National Math Stars offers resources and support for mathematically talented students, including advanced coursework, guidance, STEM camps, competitions, and mentorship opportunities.
Students who advance in the program can connect with other high-achieving peers across the country. For students with the greatest need, the program provides fully funded coursework, summer programs, and ongoing mentorship through high school graduation.
Today Tucker received an award packet that includes a certificate, medal, nomination letter, and materials for families.
Congratulations Tucker on this remarkable accomplishment!
